Welcome to John Merrill State Farm!

Happy fall from John Merrill State Farm! Fall is one of our favorite seasons, and September is Life Insurance Awareness Month. With Life Insurance, I’ve got you... and the answers to your questions.

While our two offices are located in Tyler, TX, our services reach every corner of the great state of Texas. We provide insurance options for individuals at all different stages of life, from Auto Insurance to Home, Business, Life, Pet, Renters, and an array of other coverage options. Our team is bilingual, making sure we're readily available to assist both our English and Spanish-speaking customers. Also, our offices are pet-friendly – your furry friends are welcome here.

Some more information about me is that I am a graduate of Texas A&M University and began my journey with State Farm straight out of college in 1990. I worked with State Farm for 10 years before opening my own office in 2000 and proudly opening my second office in 2016. I have called Tyler home since 2000 and have loved every minute of serving this community. In my free time, I like to golf, hike, fish, volunteer, and spend time with my family. I have been married for over 30 years to my wife Joyce, and we have two wonderful children, Marissa and Lukas. I am also a grandfather to a beautiful granddaughter and the owner of a cat named Camilla.

Our team is a family of highly skilled individuals working together to fulfill a community responsibility of giving outstanding service and fulfilling our moral obligation of protecting what’s important to customers so they may focus on accomplishing their life goals.
